Tracking preformace of stock held by club

Tracking preformace of stock held by club Does anyone out there have a good spreadsheet to track Club stock purchased and if they are meeting the SSG performance by quarter/year. In bivio it will show your annualized return. I am looking for something that will show our club members if we are making sound judgements on the SSG's we run and buy stocks from. Thank for anyone that can help our club on this matter. Bill Waskosky Club Net MN >> and if they are meeting the SSG performance by quarter/year Could you clarify what you mean by "meeting the SSG performance by quarter/year". Is this stock price appreciation? Is this change in the SSG "upside down ratio" or "zone"? Since SSG is based on a 3-5 year forecast there is considerable range that is acceptable quarter by quarter (unless there is a big shift in price or earnings forecast). After an earnings announcement (or major macro economic change) I attempt to update the SSG analysis for our value-based stocks. However, I don't report historical quarter-by-quarter results (e.g. last quarter was x but now is x+y%) but rather provide the current assessment indicating if the company is over/under valued. What it was valued last quarter is not so relevant to me (personally). I tend to focus on how much do I own (none, some or a lot) and what is the valuation of the company (under valued, fairly or over valued). Now if by "performance" you mean stock price appreciation / depreciation, then I will say that I've found the "Investment Lot Cost Basis" report in Bivio to be very helpful. It shows you simple returns from your cost basis and it shows your acquisition date (by lot) so you can calculate an annual rate of return easily. I'll download the data in spreadsheet form and paste it into a Google spreadsheet which updates prices. This provides a useful summary of performance day by day (assuming performance = price change). We mostly use this for spotting stocks that are our top gainers or losers to prompt us to consider if a change in strategy is warranted. kind regards, Barrett On Fri, Nov 6, 2015 at 4:05 PM, William F. Why not use BI's SSG+ report function? or PERT function? Bob Shaw From: William F. My club looks at the "Quarterly Trend Report" and the various reports in the "Toolkit 6 Portfolio Reports." They give us the information that I believe Bill is seeking. Roy

I am looking at tracking the appreciation of the stock and any dividends and compare that to what was projected in the SSG over the 5 year projected period. We run new SSG's on the stocks the club owns quarterly or when there has been a big change in company to see if it is a buy, hold or sell. I do use the SSG+ but did not know the PERT report existed. Now that i have looked at that RERT report has there been a webinar on how to use and read the PERT report in the SSG+. Thanks for your help. Whatever program you use needs to have the buy date, number of shares, and cost, along with the current date and price. You can use Quicken, bivio, probably your broker’s website, and there are other programs available. Bivio, for instance, will make your tax reporting fairly easy. Our club uses bivio.
