How do I find out how many transactions our club does a
year? What do you consider a transaction?

colleen goings
Collen,
Normally you will get a reminder from BIVIO to renew the license. At that time renewal email does have the information you need.

Hi,

Your current subscription comes with 400 transactions. If you haven't had a problem with that in the past, it should be enough for your club.

You can see how many your club has used since your current subscription started if you go to Administration>Subscription. That should give you a way to make a pretty good estimate of how many you might need in a year.

Each line item entry in your accounting is a transaction.

Feel free to email support@bivio.com if you have any further questions.

Another way of looking at the "new Subscription Options" is that you've reduced the scope of what the "basic" subscription includes but did not reduce the basic subscription price.  Jay

Laurie,

When I went to  Administration>subscription it shows  216/500.
I assume from those numbers that we have 500 and not 400 transactions.  Is that correct?

Bob Deimling

Yes. If you an Active Partnership subscription currently, you receive 500 transactions with it rather than 400 that comes with a regular subscription.

Could you please define a transaction?

For example, does it include stock trades, member contributions, interest credits, withdrawals, stock splits, cash in lieu, etc.? Or does this include generating reports, member logins, roster changes, etc.?

Hi,

This help topic describes what a transaction is:

Transactions

So stock trades, member contributions, interest credits, withdrawals, stock splits, cash in lieu, etc. are transactions.

Generating reports, member logins, roster changes, etc. are not.

Perhaps I don't correctly understand what a transaction is.

I assume it's each entry in your Account transaction file.

We've small club; 8 members and that works out to approximately 188 transactions per year (see below).  So the economy plan should work for us.

For those clubs that have, say, 25 members , that would be 300 transactions per year just for monthly dues.  Am I getting this right, or is there someway whereby monthly dues does not have to be 1 transaction per club member per month?
...thx....Jay
=======================

8 members payments x 12 months =  96
12 trivial Fidelity monthly interest payments received = 12
20 dividend paying stocks x 4 payments per year = 80
..........................188 transactions for the year (and nothing much has happened)

Dear Jay,

Each member payment is a transaction.

Your example is counting transactions correctly.
