Portfolio Analysis Does anyone have a recommendation for a website or product that our club can use to analyze our portfolio other than Toolkit? I find a lot to admire in Manifest Investing (MI). It is a website which charges a fee, after a free trial period. Many of the people there are from a Better Investing (BI) heritage, and they are familiar with Toolkit and the SSG. You can see the essence of BI principles in MI, if you look for it. The MI people have some subtle differences of opinion with the SSG thinking, I see that as independent thought moving forward while the SSG is frozen in copyright. There is an article about Stock Rover in Better Investing magazine. August 2014 edition. I'd suggest reading the article, then go to the company website and and look for Free Sign Up. the article give more information. You can check it out and see if it gives you the information you are looking for. What do you mean by analyze? Something that consolidates sales and earnings growth rates for the stocks in the portfolio. The only other product I would consider, at this time, is the BI SSG+. I think they each have advantages. You can monitor your portfolio in TK. I am still learning about the SSG+ but I don't think portfolio mgt is currently a part of it's function. Other options are the Morningstar portfolio function as well as Quicken and a number of other products that offer portfolio functions. But if you want to have a product to analyze individual stocks I can't think of anything better than TK. The SSG+ is similar but I still prefer TK but that's is probably due to my familiarity with the program. These are not "magic boxes" that do all the thinking for you but rather a spot for you to put all your thinking in one place and then see how it looks. TK gives you the option to compare several different stocks against one another so that you can (optimally) pick the best company. I think in analyzing a stock you should be utilizing Value Line, S&P, Morningstar, Yahoo finance, among others, and the company websites. Look at the news feeds to see what is being talked about but be careful as there are a lot of unknown players with unknown objectives. Hope this helps. You cannot see all the columns on line and the PDF printout has no highlights, chooses its own random sort, is poorly formatted, does not include the column headers on second and subsequent pages and does not produce a lean page break; but it is better than nothing. Sent from my iPhone Hi Joe, Thanks for the feedback. We're currently working on improving some of these issues in the report as well as implementing other portfolio reports for SSGPlus so stay tuned.
