BuyandHold transfer to Folio Investing
Just got an email from our broker, BuyandHold, that they are
closing up shop and will be transferring all of their client
accounts to Folio Investing as of February 13, 2015.
Apparently no action is required to accomplish this on the
brokerage end (unless we don't want to be transferred or
want to choose anything but the Basic Pricing Plan), but my
question is what will I need to do in Bivio to make sure our
Account Sync functions are not interrupted. Thanks in
advance!

Also, do any of you have any advice or information (good or
bad) about a Folio Investing account for an investment club
partnership?

Dear Carole,

When you change brokers you should create a new account on the Accounting>Accounts page to track the transactions at the new broker. There is a yellow button labeled "Create" on that page that you can use to do this.

When your cash is transferred between Buy and Hold and Folio, you will enter a Transfer transaction to record it. You do not need to make any entries to record the stock transfers. Just record any sales that were made in Buy and Hold before the shares were transferred.
