How Confident Are Retail Investors in the Capital Markets

The Center for Audit Quality has just released their annual Survey measuring retail investor confidence in the US capital markets.

2014 Main Street Investor Survey

Interestingly enough, with markets at a high, confidence has reached an all time high.

They specifically addressed the risk tolerance of retail investors. Slightly over 50% of people surveyed indicated they were "Pretty Cautious" when it comes to investing. More than 1 in 4 (28%) say they are willing to take some risk after doing their homework. I suspect that all of you, as members of investment clubs, fall into that category.

It's an easy and interesting read.
