Bivio # of "units"
Can someone provide an description of how the number of units are figured for us on Bivio?

Also, our club allows members to pay as much as they want each month ($25/mo minimum) so we're wondering how that affects others in the club. One member brought up that it may "dilute" the shares of others if we have members adding more. Since I'm in this club to learn, I'd like to understand this better.

Kimberly,

Here is a link to the bivio help page that describes Units and how the value is determined.

There are two types of "dilution", per share value is not diluted when a member buys more than the minimum in any month.  The additional money buys shares at "net asset value".  However when a member spends more money than the minimum his/her percentage ownership of the club grows faster than the other members.  Ig your voting is based on percentage ownership per your partnership agreement or your by-laws, that might make a difference.  If your votes are cast per capita then it would not matter.
