Strange, there is money for the Accounts Receivable department to stay working but not the Accounts Payable department.

All:  While the IRS is not anyone's favorite agency, all federal employees do their best with the resources of time, money and rules in which they operate.  As one of the 800K employees experiencing a furlough, please do realize that there are real people, with mortgages and college tuitions to pay, who are dealing with the uncertainties of the shutdown.

Thank you Irina. It's people like you who make the government work, it certainly ISN'T our elected officials.

I agree with Marcia. My hat is off to all who are directly impacted by the shut down.

What about the hours that they have already worked and have not been paid?  If the person that cuts their paychecks is not there then they might not get a check for pass wages, which shouldn't be allowed.  Any government workers here that are affected?

Is it really true that the people locked out from their jobs will not be able to get paid for the time closed?    How sad.
But I hear all of the  Senators and Congressmen, etc.,  in DC  will be paid in FULL...    do they get OT for evening hours?

  Just curious..................
