Transfering Shares

Transfering Shares In June one of our members left our club. We decided to transfer shares of three different companies to him. The June Scottrade Statement shows the transfer but it has not synced to bivio. How do I record this transaction in bivio? We still owe him a bit of cash as well. I do not know the exact value of what he received. I have an idea from the stock prices from Yahoo on the date shown on my statement. Thanks for your help... Dear Susan, You need to follow the terms in your partnership agreement to determine how to value his withdrawal. It should specify what to use as a valuation date. We'd recommend you determine the value of the shares you transferred as of the date you valued the total amount you owed him. To make the entry in bivio, you need to enter a withdrawal using the withdrawal form you will find on the Accounting>Members page. You can find out more about filling in the form here: https://www.bivio.com/site-help/bp/Member_Withdrawal_Help You can find out more about withdrawals here: https://www.bivio.com/site-help/bp/Withdrawals.pdf Just email us at support@bivio.com if you have any further specific questions as you work through this. Just the number of shares transferred on a specific date. I know there was an opening price and a closing price. Not sure what he recieved. But we do know what his valuation was. I will try and work through the withdrawl process in bivio following your instructions. I may need additional help. Thanks for being there! Sue Sue Susan, When you fill in the withdrawal form and select the number of shares of each stock you transferred, bivio will value it using the closing price on the date you specify as the stock transfer date. We'd recommend you use the valuation date for that date. Laurie Frederiksen On Mon, Jul 15, 2013 at 8:28 PM, Susan J Mueller <suemue@comcast.net> wrote: Thanks Laurie, |
