Comparing Stocks
A club recently asked about tools to use for comparing stocks, so I was looking at what was available on www.finviz.com. I thought you might be interested in what I found.

Lynn Ostrem highlighted this site during her presentation on stock screening last year:

So Many Stocks, So Little Time

It also allows you to set up a portfolio and build a comparison table consisting of whatever parameters you'd like to use to make your comparison. For example:

As you can see, you get a nice selection of both fundamental and technical parameters.

Here's a comparison I put together quickly for 3 technology stocks many of you might be interested in:

It's a pretty powerful tool for you to make use of in your investment club meetings. And it's free!

Is a Finviz paid account necessary to create the views
described here? I have not been able to create these with a
standard free account.
Hi Marty,

No. I just set up a free account and made those pages.

I first made a portfolio, then picked the "Open in Screener" link at the top of the portfolio.

Then I picked the "Custom" tab to get the full selection of parameters to choose from.

Hope that helps!
