Changing Stock Brokers
We are planning on changing our stock broker after start of
new year (2013). We will ask our current broker to transfer
all shares to the new broker.
For cash, we will write a check drawn on the old account and
deposit into the new account.

What do I need to do from a Bivio perspective? Can we point
Bivio account synch to 2 different brokerage accounts?
Thanks for any assistance.
Jay, check to see if the Etrade offer is still good. We switched from Firstrade to Etrade this year with relative ease. We are getting $4.99 trades and we are using AccountSync. All we had to do was set up a new "Account" for Etrade in the Accounting section and give them our bivio information. They did the rest.

Lynn,
Thanks - I knew I could add other accounts in the Account
section but I wasn't sure whether account-synch would handle
multiple accounts
(club has voted to use Fidelity. It's very close to us
and they like brick and mortar. Current broker has
misplaced checks a few times and all are tired of the poor
service).
Hi Jay,

Yes. It is possible to sync accounts from 2 different brokers.

Just set up your second account on the Accounting>Accounts page and enter the login information for it.

Hi Laurie,

One thing you might warn folks about is that TD (and perhaps other brokers) lock your account when they receive a request to transfer account assets.

This of course caused accountsynch to stop working.  I couldn't login either.  Took a bit of talking to TD to convince them to open up the account so I could get tax data, monthly statements, etc off the account.and of couse to get accountsynch working again.......Jay
