Sync on withdrawals
When full withdrawals with stock are entered into bivio on an account with broker sync, are the stock lot transfers automatically sent to the brokerage for execution? Or is the question of lots just covered in the withdrawal reports? We have done this before, but specific lots were not involved at that time.
Dear Del,

We do not ever send anything to your broker. We only download what has happened.

If you wanted specific lots transferred to specific people, that is something you would have had to communicate to your broker yourself at the time you requested the transfers.

In bivio, you would then have to make sure those were the lots selected when you chose stocks when filling out the withdrawal form.

Hope that helps. Let me know if you have any further questions.

We have sent internal transfer forms to TDAmeritrade for transfer of a certain number of shares to members' accounts without regard to lots. TDA forms have no place for choosing lots. However, bivio's withdrawal reports do. We have used the default. All of the cash and stock valuations are accurate, but the bivio withdrawal reports show specific lots with varying bases. Should we wait for the transfers to be made by TDA, delete the withdrawal reports as entered? Did not see any way on the bivio entries not to specify lots.

Yes. To make things match up with what your broker does, you will need to find out which lots were transferred and identify them the same way in bivio.
