Dear Bivio helpers who have answered the calls,

It turns our\t Bivio started just about the time our investment club got off the ground. We have been using you for about half of our days. As treasurer, this has benefitted me the most as far as peace of mind and confidence in my numbers.

Your software and the cloud aspect of it are great, but we all know that it is your competent, cheerful, and helpful people who have made the difference. Rip and Ira, you have each helped me sort through the pain when we bought an MLP that we were told was an ETF but was not. Laurie has tracked down many and various bits of needed data to keep us going and has fixed some complicated little issues that are the kind that drive a treasurer wild.

Thank you to Laurie, Rip, and Ira, and to the others at work at Bivio whose names I do not know.

Back in 1998, two Stanford graduates, an astrophysicist and a computer engineer, shopped around for an accounting program for their investment club. They found only limited, expensive software. So they developed their own web-delivered application.

bivio (from the Latin bivium, intersection) was born on December 8, 1998. Thousands of investment clubs have used it since.

In the past 15 years, we've seen it all. You've created family clubs, clubs at the office, big clubs and small clubs. We've worked with brand new clubs and clubs that have been around for 50 years. We've exchanged hundreds of thousands of email messages with all of you. Needless to say, we've learned some good lessons on what works and what doesn't.

Our mission at bivio is to help you run your investment club, and we've come a long way since 1998. We were ahead of our time in seeing the opportunities that would be provided by software delivery over the Internet. Now, cloud services for many industries are expanding exponentially.
