Back in 1998, two Stanford graduates had the idea to develop the first web-delivered investment club accounting application.
bivio (from the Latin bivium, intersection) was born on December 8, 1999. Many thousands of investment clubs have used it since.
In the past 20 years, we've seen it all. You've created family clubs, clubs at the office, big clubs and small clubs. We've worked with brand new clubs and clubs that have been around for 50 years. We've exchanged hundreds of thousands of email messages with all of you.
Our mission at bivio is to help you keep the operations of your investment club simple so you can have fun learning to invest with your friends. We were ahead of our time in seeing the opportunities that software delivery over the Internet would provide to facilitate the operations of groups working together. 20 years ago, the idea of an internet based program was a novelty. Now, all programs are moving toward being internet applications.
