It's easy to say you don't believe but if you keep looking and you keep really watching, you'll see." - Parenthood- Season 4, Episode 11 It's the time of the year when we celebrate miracles. It might be the miracle that the days will again get longer, the miracle of the birth of a baby, the miracle that a man in a red suit will deliver gifts, or the miracle that a small amount of oil, sufficient for only one day of light, could stave off the darkness for as long as it was needed. We celebrate our belief in the existence of light in the darkness in many ways and with many traditions. Our common bond in our celebrations is the belief that there is something out there to hope for. Our celebrations remind us how important that is. As investors we travel hopefully. The gifts we receive by participating in our investment clubs are not cookies or shiny boxes topped with bows. They are the chance to share our journey with friends. Together we search for the light in the darkness as we spend time learning about something we share a common interest in. Your personal traditions determine exactly how you celebrate during December. But what matters most is that we all continue to believe in miracles, we all continue to travel hopefully, we all continue to share our lives with people we care about and we all continue to provide the gifts each one of us can offer to the world to make it a better place for all.
